Where do I begin?

When I originally began Bloom Therapy I never envisioned the opportunities that I would have throughout the journey. I had such a short-sighted vision of how to utilize my practice to create space for queer, neuro-divergent, couples, and kinky individuals to work on their mental health. Three years later and I have the space and time to dive into new ways to engage you all. Where to begin? With an introduction: I dreamt of Bloom Therapy in my initial clinical mental health counseling class. My professor gave us a project to create a business plan for a private practice. At the time, I was connected to the idea that as therapists we “plant seeds” that we never know if they will grow. Introducing Bloom Therapy, the space where I can harness my own vision, creativity, authenticity, and queerness to hold space for the healing work of each of my client’s to do.

I don’t know where or how Bloom Therapy will evolve throughout the next few years. What I do know is that the mission and vision will always help and honor the healing work that each individual and couple want to do. I want this portion of the newsletter to be a space for me to deepen the connection I have with each of you. I don’t often get to share my thoughts in the moment and this will become an eclectic way to engage with you in a discourse on my own journey, insights throughout the week, and breakthroughs that I have experienced.

Stay tuned for the journey,

Zachery Nielsen
